By accessing midnightowl.dev or creating an account, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. Effective date: July 26, 2026.

Midnight Owl UI has two parts, covered differently by these terms:

• The component library — @midnight-owl/ui is free, open-source, and MIT-licensed. Using it in your own projects is governed by its license, not these terms.
• The hosted site — this docs site and Theme Studio, including cloud-saved themes, team sharing, and any paid Pro/Plus plan, are what these terms govern.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity under it. Paid plans (Pro and Plus) are billed through Paddle on the cycle shown at checkout; you can cancel at any time from your account page, and access continues until the end of the current billing period. See Refunds below for our policy on fees already charged.

Subscription fees are billed in advance for the period shown at checkout and are non-refundable once that period has started, except where a refund is required by applicable consumer-protection law in your jurisdiction. Canceling stops future renewals but does not refund the current period — you keep Pro/Plus access through the date it's already paid for.

All payments are processed by Paddle.com, our Merchant of Record, who handles the transaction and any refund issued under this policy. If you believe you were charged in error — a duplicate charge, a billing mistake, or a failed service on our end — contact [email protected] and we'll review it.

Don't misuse the service: no attempting to bypass subscription gates or rate limits, no sharing a remote theme public_key for redistribution, no interfering with the site's normal operation, and no using the service for anything unlawful.

The Midnight Owl UI name, branding, and the hosted site's content are owned by us. The @midnight-owl/ui source code is separately MIT-licensed — see its repository for the full license text. Design tokens you create in Theme Studio remain yours; saving them grants us only the license needed to store and serve them back to you (and, for Premium remote themes, to the app that fetches them by key).

The hosted service relies on Supabase (auth & database), Paddle (billing), and Google (advertising and, if enabled, analytics). Your use of those features is also subject to those providers' own terms. See our Privacy Policy for how data flows to them.

The service is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Midnight Owl UI is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site or the library.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, and any dispute arising from them will be handled under Philippine jurisdiction.

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for a violation of these terms, including abuse of rate-limited or premium-gated endpoints.

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
