This Privacy Policy explains what information Midnight Owl UI ("we", "us") collects when you visit midnightowl.dev or use Theme Studio, why we collect it, and the choices you have. It covers this website and its hosted account features — it does not cover @midnight-owl/ui, the open-source component library itself, which runs entirely in your own application and sends us nothing.

Effective date: July 26, 2026. This policy is governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines.

• Account information — email address and authentication data, handled by our auth provider, Supabase, when you sign up or log in.
• Billing information — if you subscribe to a paid plan, payment details are collected and processed directly by Paddle; we never see or store your card number.
• Saved theme data — design tokens you save in Theme Studio under your account.
• Usage & device data — pages visited, browser type, and similar diagnostic data collected automatically, including through cookies (see below).

We use a small number of first-party cookies to keep the site working the way you'd expect: remembering your saved theme locally (the app-custom-theme cookie), your session while logged in, and interface preferences like sidebar state. These are functional, not advertising, cookies.

Where ads or analytics are enabled (see Advertising below), our third-party partners may also set their own cookies or use similar technologies to recognize your browser across visits.

This site may show ads served by Google, including through Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads based on a visitor's prior visits to this site or other websites. • Supabase — authentication and database hosting.
• Paddle — subscription billing and payment processing.
• Google — advertising (AdSense) and, if enabled, site analytics.

We do not share your information with anyone else except where required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of Midnight Owl UI and its users.

We retain account and saved-theme data for as long as your account is active, and delete it within a reasonable period after you close your account or request deletion. We rely on our infrastructure providers' industry-standard security practices to protect data in transit and at rest, but no method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure.

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in the EU/EEA/UK, or the CCPA in California), you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing, including personalized advertising. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below.

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will remove it.

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date above; continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
